LOCKYER VALLEY REGIONAL COUNCIL – LAIDLEY SPRING 
TERMS AND CONDITIONS – SEPTEMBER 2024
  1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the competition conditions. 

  2. Competition entry is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

  3. Prize: a) Includes: 

  4. 1x Lockyer Valley Why Leave Town Gift Card valued at $150. 

  5. b) The prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.  

  6. c) Any additional expenses incurred by the prize winners, other than those outlined in these terms and conditions, are the responsibility of the winners.  

  7. d) Prize winners are themselves subject to the specific terms and conditions of the providers. 

  8. Competition period: Friday 6 September 2024 8am to Sunday 15 September 2024 5pm. 

  9. How to enter: Complete the survey form and submit. 

  10. Eligibility: To be eligible to enter this competition a person must:  

  11. a) Be an Australian resident  

  12. b) Not be an employee/contracted staff or immediate family member of Lockyer Valley Regional Council  

  13. c) Be over the age of 18 (proof of age may be required to receive prize)  

  14. d) Submit your entry by Sunday 15 September 2024 5pm. 

  15. Competition draw: The winner will be drawn on Monday 16 September 2024 9am at random with the first eligible entry drawn being the winner. The decision shall be conclusive and no correspondence will be entered into.  

  16. Winner Notification: The winners will be contacted by email by Monday 16 September 2024 5pm. 

  17. If the prizes are not claimed by Wednesday 25 September 2024, a draw will be conducted at 5pm on that day at the Lockyer Valley Regional Council Gatton Office. 

  18. Printing errors and other quality control matters will not be used as a reason for refusing redemption of prizes. 

  19. Each entrant consents to the access and disclosure of the information in accordance with clause 20. 

  20. The prizes are offered by Lockyer Valley Regional Council and operators in good faith and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. 

  21. This promotion is offered in good faith and is not to give rise to any legal dispute and is binding in honour only and can be cancelled at any time without notice. 

  22. No Liability of Promoter: The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained in connection with the entry into the competition or acceptance of the prize. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the prize. 

  23. The Promoter reserves the right to alter or amend these terms and conditions and/or to cancel the competition at any time prior to the competition opening without further recourse to the entrants. 

  24. Entrants must fully and correctly complete and submit the survey. If you do not supply the information or your information is not legible, your entry will be deemed invalid. You may only enter this competition once. 

  25. Force Majeure: If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter), which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify all entries from any individual who tampers with, or benefits from tampering with the entry process which as a result corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Competition. 

  26. Participation in this competition shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland and the parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Court of Queensland and all Courts competent to hear appeals there from. 

  27. Acceptance of prizes indemnifies the Lockyer Valley Regional Council of any responsibility, and the Lockyer Valley Regional Council accepts no responsibility for and harm or financial loss that may arise from the use of the prizes. 

  28. By entering this competition, you are agreeing to receive email updates from Lockyer Valley Regional Council. An entrant may opt out of mailings by requesting this in writing to Lockyer Valley Regional Council – 26 Railway St Gatton QLD 4343 or by telephoning Lockyer Valley Regional Council on 1300 00 5872. 

  29. The promoter is the Lockyer Valley Regional Council ABN 52 673 165 312.
